There will be a Christmas Tree Lighting November 29, 2009 at 2:00pm at the tree in front of Dollar General in Manchester. NY. Memorial Bulbs may be purchased at either Village office. The proceeds from the sale of bulbs will benefit the Food Cupboard in Manchester and the Chamber voted to give the cost of the bulbs to the Food cupboard which was $226.00. A choir is planned and free Hot Chocolate provided by the Women of St Dominic’s. Nancy Patz agreed to help with the hot chocolate.
Annual Christmas Party will be held December 13th at 7:00pm The Depot Restaurant in Shortsville NY. Tickets will be $15.00 each or with a donation of canned goods for the Food Cupboard $12.00. Tickets may be purchased from any Chamber Officer.
Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Contest judging will be the week of Dec 6th. Four prizes, $50.00 and two tickets to the annual Christmas Party will be given to the winners.(one in each village, one in the town, and one business.) Prizes will be announced and given out at the Annual Christmas party must be present to receive prize.
Brenda is checking on a plaque for the Indian she will check wityh the village to see where they made there purchase in Geneva.
Matt is allowed to spend up to $1000.00 for banners for Route 21.
Donna Williams will meet on Monday with John Tyo to try to go forward with becoming a 501c Chamber.
Sharon will get together the letter and a list of members for the membership drive and those that want to be in the new printing of our Chamber Brochure and she will check with Ed Phillips to see if he can handle it again for us. Letters will be sent the 1st week of January 2010 and will have a deadline of February 1st to be in the Brochure. Bonnie Platts will be handling the membership drive. Sharon will work with Ed to have the brochure produced.
Steve Southard is sending us designs for T-shirts for the workers and for us to sell at the Derby, he will sell to us at cost.
The outlet has been cleared; Matt will submit a bill for gas and chain saw blades etc.
Josh Allen submitted a copy of a newsletter he will be doing tat the Aparts, and suggested the Chamber, and villages use it for events they are doing. It will also be snet to the Chamber member’s e-mail. He is running a Turkey Drawing contest for the Nov news letter and it he Chamber agreed to supply the turkey. A Motion was made by Doug Crouse and second by Sharon Trimm.
Sharon will send updates of upcoming events to Steve for the Web.
